David got the ink in his blood at an early age and has spent most of his life in the newspaper industry. His father was a reporter in the United States Army. By the age of 11, David had published has the first column and sold his first newspaper ad. Compton’s professional newspaper career path started as an advertising account executive at a daily. Six months later he was serving as ad director. Since then he served successfully in many capacities including stops as publisher, regional publisher and top revenue and executive officer positions. He moved on from media leadership in 2018 and now serves as CEO of Alamo Fireworks where he is charged with running the day to day operations for one of the leading and largest fireworks companies in Texas. Alamo Fireworks sells fireworks in Texas, New Mexico, New Hampshire, and Nevada.
