Dr. David Waldron is an Associate Professor of History at Federation University Australia, specializing in folklore and community heritage. He is the author of “Sign of the Witch: Modernity and the Pagan Revival” (Carolina Academic Press 2008), “Shock! The Black Dog of Bungay – a Case Study in Local Folklore” (Hidden Press 2010), and “Snarls from the Tea-Tree: Victoria’s Big Cat Folklore” (Australian Scholarly Publishing 2013). He co-wrote and researched the podcast series “Tales from Rat City,” which won the 2019 National Trust of Australia People’s Choice Award and the 2023 Victorian Community History Award. A distinguished writer and researcher in the TTRPG community, Dr. Waldron won a Silver ENNIE medal for writing "William Bailey's Haunted Mansion," which also earned a Victorian Community History Award, and was nominated for an ENNIE for "The Last Dance of Lola Montez." He is a TEDx speaker and dramaturgist, contributing extensively to the understanding and preservation of heritage through various innovative mediums.
