About David Wardle

I have almost 40 years experience of working in the social housing sector, at operational and strategic levels and as an educator. I currently work on a freelance basis as a consultant, trainer, tutor and assessor, which involves preparing, writing and delivering learning and development programmes as well as providing clear and supportive feedback for learners of all abilities. I have a wide experience of designing and delivering learning programmes, on a face-to-face basis and also in a blended learning context and increasingly within an online framework. I am passionate about engaging with local people about local decisions. People need to equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to enable them to be able to influence outcomes and decisions. My goals are to continue to maintain progress by developing new training and learning opportunities based upon latest good practice and promoting excellence in service provision. Specialties: Training/learning across a wide range of housing subjects, e.g. Homelessness, Resident Engagement, Anti-Social Behaviour, Housing Law, Income Management and Void Control, Introduction to Social Housing for New Staff, etc. Also delivery of generic skills learning sessions, e.g. Delivering Excellent Customer Service, Effective Communication Skills, Negotiation and Influencing Skills, Assertiveness, etc. I also have experience of supporting and developing tenant panels in their role as scrutineers of housing and other related services.
