A seasoned Rural Practice Surveyor, farmer and former soldier, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale land and river management solutions for complex national infrastructure projects. My practical experience spans managing extensive dairy and high-country land portfolios, and I've honed my negotiation and communication skills at world reference companies. In recent years, I've become somewhat of a trouble-shooter for clients facing challenges in their projects. My passion for regenerative agriculture, coastal fisheries, and practical renewable energy is matched by my specialist knowledge in soil management, irrigation, and drainage. With hands-on experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, I understand how these elements interact to build national resilience in farming, energy, and infrastructure. I'm also dedicated to nurturing the next generation of rural surveyors as an accredited RICS mentor and APC examiner. In this increasingly mad World, I am still determined to show that slightly overweight, middle-aged chaps can save the World! I enjoy most things outdoors—which is just as well, since I'm frequently in 'the doghouse.'
