About David Westbrook

With over 13 years of experience in the aerospace industry, I am a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering (B.Eng.). I am currently an Aerospace Project Engineer at De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited, where I provide support to our worldwide customers through management of the design, certification, and implementation of aircraft modification and design change projects for all Viking/De Havilland products. I am passionate about aerospace innovation, safety improvements, emission reduction, cost reduction, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction. I have a strong understanding of the Transport Canada/FAA/EASA design/certification/testing process, and I have successfully completed several major projects involving structural repairs, alterations, conversions, and installations. I am both a strong team leader and a self-motivated independent professional, and I am eager to contribute my abilities and experience to an engineering team, as well as to learn new skills and knowledge. My current goal is to become a Transport Canada Delegate and to continue to make a positive impact in my field.
