I have over 30 years' experience of preventing and resolving commercial disputes, recent cases are- • Acting for a company registered in Singapore defending a $650M claim and preparing an application to vary a Worldwide Freezing Order; • Acting for a company seeking to purchase a Premier League football club; dealing with the fall out disputes for and against the company and a director, as they arose, including breach of contract, misrepresentation, duress and defamation;with a view to ensuring that the director was a fit and proper person to be a director of the football club; • Acting for an internationally renowned DJ and others, defending a passing off claim (in IPEC) relating to their production of an international music holiday/festival in Kavos, Greece and an existing production of an international music holiday/festival in Barcelona; • Drafting and serving a “cease and desist” letter on behalf of a well-known regional florist and farm shop in a passing off claim against another farm shop; • Drafting and serving an application seeking to set aside a statutory demand allegedly served upon an American corporation in the United States of America; • Acting for three companies based in three separate jurisdictions, Curacao, Cyprus and Malta; each having a like claim against an English company; and dealing with the companies’ complaints against that company with the FSA; • Acting for a Chinese blogger posting articles on two Chinese social media platforms being accused of defaming a company providing services to foreign students; • Appearing in the County Court for a payroll manager and his employer, a nationwide security company, to show cause why an order for a fine and /or imprisonment should not be made; • Resolving a large Inheritance Act claim by mediation; • Advising a company supplying wedding services during the period of lockdown; and considering the guidance of the Competition & Markets Authority; • Acting for a firm of accountants in satellite litigation from the K2 Tax Shelter; • Advising a global company which manufactures commercial and domestic spray washing systems upon misrepresentation and breach of a marketing contract for the provision of services at Fan Zones in Nigeria and Tunisia during the football World Cup in 2018; I have joined LinkedIn to reciprocate business opportunities and help individuals and businesses solve their disputes.
