About David Whiting

I am best described as a well-informed counsellor. I bring to the table over 30 years experience to assist clients in planning, implementing and giving effect to their aims and objectives. And, where it is appropriate to do so, I am very happy to bring in any additional resources that are required, and to work with the client's other advisers. I'm somewhat old-fashioned. I have studiously avoided the trend of specialisation. I have no desire to learn more and more about less and less, but would rather learn more and more about more and more. In an ever-changing world narrowing your focus limits your opportunities, and your usefulness. I help with my clients'"deals, disputes, and desires". I use my knowledge across the law to solve clients' problems. I do not practice in family law or personal injury, but I'm happy to refer people to practitioners who I believe can assist.* I help people prepare for a deal that they would like to do. I help people negotiate a deal. I help people document and complete a deal. And sometimes I help clean up a deal.* I help people with disputes, whether they are of their own doing, or someone else's. I look for a resolution in a way that best meets the client's objectives.* I help people realise their desires and plans for the future – the things they would like to see happen, either now or after they have died.
