About David Wiggins

A focused and determine Biomedical Engineering student, I am often times recognized by my diligence and competitiveness. My goals are to go to dental school where I can have the opportunity to come back to Fort Smith, Arkansas and open up a local practice with my mother. Furthermore, by obtaining a degree Biomedical Engineering at the University of Arkansas, I would also have the opportunity to improve on the dental tools used today while trying to design a couple of my own. I am also very skilled in dealing with diversity. I am currently a Freshman Engineering Program Peer Mentor where I meet with twelve freshman engineering students once a week individually for thirty minutes to help them transition from being a high school student to a skillfully equipped engineering student. I am also interested in giving back to the community; I am currently the Sigma Chi Fraternity Community Service Chairman. This position allows me to provide members with volunteer opportunities and to keep record of over a hundred and sixty members’ community service hours.
