About David Wilcox

David was born in Twin Falls and raised in Jerome, Idaho. He is a Jerome High School graduate, and a graduate of the College of Southern Idaho. He got his start in the insurance business in April, 1996. He followed in the footsteps of his father, two uncles, and both grandfathers. In 2004, David became a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and has been an active member ever since. He has served as State & Local Treasurer, State & Local Secretary, State & Local President-Elect, Local Chapter President, State Chapter President, Local HUPAC Chair, Awards Chair, Region VII LPRT Chair, and more. He is a 9-year member of NAHU’s Leading Producer’s Round Table, attaining Soaring Eagle status in 2012, 2013, and 2014, the highest level of recognition. David earned his CDHC certification in June, 2007. David earned his RHU designation through the American College in November, 2007. David has been a Regence, Blue Shield Preferred Broker since 2001. He is a Blue Cross of Idaho Select Broker, and has been recognized by many other companies for his work in life insurance, disability insurance, and health insurance sales. David has attended NAHU’s National convention in Denver, CO (2007), San Diego, CA (2008), New York, NY (2009), Chicago, IL (2010), San Antonio, TX (2011), Las Vegas, NV (2012), Atlanta, GA (2013), and Scottsdale, AZ (2014). He also attended the 2011, 2012, and 2013 Capitol Conferences in Washington, DC, personally visiting with every Idaho Senator & Representative. David is a monthly HUPAC contributor at the Congressional-Club level. He remains active in his church and his community. In 2006, David designed and coordinated building the winning float for the Twin Falls Western Day’s Parade. It was a 40-foot long by 15-foot tall replica of the local Perrine Bridge. David and Sharla Wilcox have 6-children and have been married for 19-years.
