About David Williamson

Born in Jamaica but growing up in England, I graduated in Economics from Nottingham University before spending 10 years with Volvo Car Corporation in Sweden. During this time I became fluent in Swedish. I then continued my professional career in international project management and organisational development in Belgium and then in the UK. I have lectured in Operations Management for Sunderland University Business School in England as well as in project management for Chalmers Technical University in Gothenburg, Sweden. Trained as a pilot and with 7 years experience from the Royal Air Force Reserve, I have a special interest in team development, leadership and learning issues. Researching into ”knowledge leadership” with IMIT (Institute for Management of Innovation & Technology) in Sweden, I have contributed to a number of papers on the subject. Having spent 5 years based in Kuala Lumpur, I am now responsible for Wenell's Asia-Pacific region as we continue to be an international centre of excellence for project and change management.
