About David Wininger

We started with Bible study and visitation programs for youth incarcerated in a county juvenile detention center in 1994. Since then, we have added mentoring, mental health services, family training, and intensive residential behavioral therapy that enable these youth and their families to live and thrive outside the Juvenile Justice and Child Welfare Systems of the Greater Omaha Metropolitan area. Since April 2013, we have expanded from a staff of 9 (5 who worked directly with youth and families) to a staff of 46 (41 who work directly with youth and their families). In the next month, we plan to start our first Foster Care Parent licensing class and are on schedule to become a state licensed Child Placing Agency and start placing youth in Foster Care before the summer is over.
