About David Young

Dr. Young received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Idaho State University in 1995 and completed a Specialty Residency in Ambulatory Care at the Family Practice Residency of Idaho and Idaho State University in 1996. Dr. Young is a Professor of Pharmacotherapy (Clinical) at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy. He is a clinical pharmacist at the University of Utah Adult Cystic Fibrosis and Asthma Centers. He is a member of the CF Foundation Clinical Research Committee (CRC) Dr. Young is the chair of the CF Foundation (CFF) Implementation of Outpatient Clinical Pharmacy Services Committee and co-director of the North American CFF Pharmacist Mentorship Program. He is a member of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination Review (MRC) Committee. Dr. Young is a member of the Utah Pharmacy Association (UPhA) Board of Directors, UPhA and Utah Society of Health System Pharmacists (USHP) Advocacy Committees. He is the co-chair of the USHP Advocacy Committee. Dr. Young is the academic coordinator of the ASHP-accredited PGY-2 Internal Medicine Pharmacy Residency at the University of Utah Health. He is pharmacology course director for the University of Utah Master of Athletic Training programs.
