I am currently the VP Clinical with the Southeast Local Health Integration Network (SELHIN) and sit on the SE LHIN Executive. Along with the executive team, the VP Clinical focuses on regional partnerships and health human resource planning. I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at Kingston Health Sciences Centre and a practicing vascular surgeon and the Chair for the Division of Vascular Surgery at Queen’s University. I was the Chief of Staff and Executive Vice President Medical Administration at Kingston General Hospital from 2008 until March 2017 when the two acute care hospitals in Kingston integrated. As Chief of Staff I was the Chair of the KGH Medical Advisory Committee and member of the Board of Directors of the hospital. The EVP portfolio included Medical Affairs, Patient Safety, Quality and Risk, the Infection Prevention Control Service, Pharmacy and Decision Support.I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University, and received a MSc and MD from Queen’s University. I completed my postgraduate medical training at Queen’s in General Surgery and subsequent subspecialty training in Vascular Surgery at Harvard University at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
