About David Zylstra
Dave was born and raised in NW Washington and graduated from Lynden Christian High School in 1985. After graduating from Calvin College (Grand Rapids, MI) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and getting married to his wife Marianne (Eisses), they moved to Whidbey Island in 1991 and began teaching at OHCS together. He has taught for 5 years at 3rd grade and 8 more at 5th grade. Currently he is serving as principal at Oak Harbor Christian having earned his Masters Degree in Education Administration and Supervision. Dave will continue to rely on God’s strength and guidance for the task of leading this wonderful school. Being a part of Christian education here in Oak Harbor has truly been a blessing. Dave and his wife have 3 wonderful children, Morgan, Kurtis, and Lacey. He enjoys watching and playing sports, being a high school basketball official, and spending time with his family and friends. They are active members of the Oak Harbor Christian Reformed Church.
