About Davida Young

Ms. DaVida Young is the Supervisory Management and Program Analyst for Business Operations (15BOP) in the Office of the Assistant Under Secretary for Health for Operations in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), effective November 22, 2021. Her responsibilities include manpower requests, recruitment/staffing, workforce management, talent management, classification support, and more. Ms. Young has over 8 years of experience in the Human Resources profession. She joined the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in 2014 and worked in the Office of Human Resources Management, Recruitment & Placement Policy Service under the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Human Resources and Administration in VA Central Office. She also provided direct leadership support for operations and strategic planning on Human Resources as a Program Support Specialist in VHA Business Operations and subsequently as an Administrative Officer in the Office of the Assistant Under Secretary for Health for Clinical Services. Prior to joining VA, DaVida served in various Human Resources capacities at the Washington, D.C. Headquarters of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Secret Service, Workforce and Planning Division and in the HR Research and Assessment Division. She was responsible for the Agency’s law enforcement cadre that included Human Resources administration functions. DaVida also worked at the U.S. Department of Defense, Walter Reed Army Medical Center in the Patient Administration Department in Bethesda, Maryland.
