About Davide Caltavituro

I'm a CAE Engineer specialized in FEA with Ansys Mechanical and injection molding simulations with Moldex3D. I graduated with honors in Materials Engineering showing a particular interest in polymeric materials, their properties and the sustainable alternatives (bioplastics). I define myself as a perfectionist with an analytical mindset; I face every challenge with an innovative and sustainable approach. I am looking for a dynamic and challenging environment, that aims to technological and industrial innovation. Acquired skills: • FEA with Ansys Mechanical (impact, fatigue, topology optimization, constitutive models for materials) • Injection molding simulations with Moldex3D (product design, conformal cooling, sampling at mold makers) • FEA on composite materials taking into account short fiber orientation with Digimat • Materials selection with Ansys Granta • Software development for the selection of the best injection molding machine • Laboratory testing on polymeric materials, data collecting and reporting with DOE • Research on innovative polymeric materials (bioplastics, 3D printing, wear-resistant plastics, failure criteria for elastomers) • Languages: italian (mother tongue) and english (C1) Contact me: davidecalta@gmail.com +39 3351832704
