About Davide Miceli

My skills are related, first of all, to the field of physics, in particular in astrophysics and cosmology but with general skills also in matter physics and computational physics. During my PhD I investigated deeply the field of the Very High Energy (VHE) astrophysics, participating in several research projects for international collaborations, such as the MAGIC and LST collaboration. Thanks to such activities I was able to partecipate and give my contribution to the publication of several scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. The most relevant ones are two articles published on the Nature journal concerning the first ever detection and interpretation of Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs) in the VHE domain. I am corresponding authors for such articles. Furthermore, thanks to my career, I gained some skills in mathematics and informatics: I'm able to make computer programming in different languagues like Python (good), IDL and C (basic). I have partecipated in some divulgative activites in Trieste (AREA Science Park Open Day, Sharper European Night of Researchers 2018 and 2019, FameLAB 2017). I was also a Volleyball referee for Federazione Italiana Pallavolo (FIPAV) at National level from 2015 to 2018. My hobbies are sports, in particular football (I'm an Inter fan), running (standard pace of 4:30 min/km for a 10 km run) and theatre.
