About Davide Simonato

Davide is a Oxford University Endovascular Neurosurgeon (INR) and an active researcher, currently collaborating with the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences (NDCN) on projects related to Stroke, Cerebral Haemorrhage, and Dementia. His principal clinical interest and expertise lie in neuroimaging and the endovascular management of ruptured aneurysms (aSAH) and large vessel occlusion (LVO). He has worked closely with teleradiology companies and industrial partners to develop AI-based tools for stroke care, aimed at accelerating diagnosis and facilitating the rapid centralisation of patients from peripheral centres to specialist hub hospitals. Davide has been appointed Associate Editor of the Interventional Neuroradiology journal and serves as a reviewer for several leading journals, including JNIS, INR, AJNR, and Scientific Reports. He has an significant track record of academic achievement, with over 30 peer-reviewed publications, many of which appear in high-impact journals within his field. In his free time, Davide also teaches Anatomy and Neurosciences for undergraduates in medical school at Jesus College (Oxford University).
