About Davies Maina

I’m currently a Senior Software Engineer at Totem Studio, with more than five years of hands-on experience with technologies like Flutter, Firebase, Node.js, SwiftUI, Nuxt, Vue, and Google Cloud Platform, I focus on steering projects from the ground up, ensuring they not only fulfill but exceed our client’s expectations. I know—it sounds cliché, but my journey in tech started with a 'genuine passion for creating' and a 'curiosity about how technology can solve real-world problems.' But isn’t that the spark that gets most of us started? For me, this has turned from a clichéd beginning into a career where I actively develop software solutions that meet needs and push the boundaries of what our clients think is possible. In my current role, I'm not just developing software but also actively mentoring. I participate in and facilitate peer-to-peer mentoring within our team, which helps us share knowledge, solve problems collaboratively, and stay at the forefront of technology.
