About Davin Cox

I've always held a high appreciation for outdoor activities offered by the natural world, such as skiing, hiking, or sunset chasing, and believed in the importance of preserving these environments. Naturally, this has shaped my passion for environmental protection and ambition to enter the field. My experience within the Environmental Studies department has shifted my academic focus towards regulatory work that protects and improves environmental quality in pursuit of a career to protect something I find passion in.Playing soccer at the collegiate level strengthened certain traits through highs and lows such as adaptability, work ethic and dedication, and self-motivation towards team-oriented goals. My time in the capital allowed me to complete projects with efficiency and accuracy, in which I was honored to receive commendation for a project from a member of the Maryland House of Delegates.Now that I've wrapped up my final year at UCSC, I am continuing to learn all that I can about environmental efforts and am eager to put my past experiences to use in navigating this next chapter.
