About Davin Johnson

As the Alberta Program Advisor for Cleanfarms Inc, a non-profit organization dedicated to environmental stewardship through the responsible management of agricultural plastic packaging and product waste, I oversee all of Cleanfarms' stewardship initiatives in Alberta. My role involves collaborating with stakeholders across the province to support existing agricultural recycling and waste management programs. Key projects include leading the Alberta Ag-Plastic. Recycle It! pilot program for recycling grain bags and twine, managing a micro-pilot for bale and silage wrap recycling in the Lethbridge area, and expanding the seed, pesticide, and inoculant bag collection program across the Canadian prairies. Born in Saskatchewan and raised in southern Alberta, I hold a B.Sc. with a concentration in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from the University of Lethbridge. My career spans diverse roles across urban sales and rural environmental work, including remediating and reclaiming farmland and ranchland as an environmental scientist. With a strong foundation in environmental sustainability and a passion for connecting with people, I bring expertise in sales, environmental science, GIS, remote sensing, and project management. Over the years, I’ve contributed to various boards and working groups for government and non-profit agencies in the environmental sector. Currently, I serve as a Board Director with the Alberta Plastics Recycling Association, furthering initiatives to promote responsible plastic recycling and reuse. I am a creative and results-driven sales professional with over a decade of experience. Recognized for my ability to quickly build rapport and develop strong client relationships, I excel at delivering tailored solutions, resolving complex challenges, and managing projects from inception to completion. My leadership style emphasizes team-building, strategic thinking, and clear communication, all in alignment with achieving organizational goals. My diverse background has equipped me with a holistic approach to leadership, business strategy, and creative problem-solving. Above all, I remain deeply committed to advancing environmental sustainability and helping others achieve their goals.
