About Davin Larsen

I recently completed my Masters Degree in Molecular Biology at Utah State University under Dr. Lee Rickords. My thesis dealt with the effect of the small molecule RepSox on the expression of pluripotency pathways in murine and bovine cells. My Bachelors Degree was obtained from USU in the field of Bioveterinary Science with an emphasis in Biotechnology, after which I joined Dr. Rickords' lab as a Graduate Student. I was also employed by the Animal, Dairy, and Veterinary Science department at USU as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and have helped to teach various agriculture classes, as well as the Animal Cell Culture Laboratory class in the Center for Integrated Biosystems under the direction of Dr. Kamal Rashid. I am currently working as a Technologist Trainee in the Genomics laboratory at ARUP. Specialties: PCR, qPCR, primer design, Gel Electrophoresis (Agarose, SDS-PAGE), Western Blot, Animal Cell Culture (murine ES cells, Murine, bovine, and porcine embryo fibroblasts, CHO cells, Vero Cells), Primary culture, Gene Cloning, Restriction Enzyme Digestion of DNA, DNA transfection of Animal Cells in culture, DNA isolation, RNA isolation.
