Worked closely with U.S. Customs and Border protection doing the following:*Strengthened interagency communication, conducting technical training for large and small internal and external audiences on Customs-related issues*Developed agency-specific procedures to effectuate case decisions, provided input on Congressional-related documents*Developed the first call center within the Enforcement and Compliance agency (E&C) of the International Trade Administration*Served as one of two persons instrumental in creating the first Customs Liaison Unit within E&C, growing the unit from a one to a 12-person team over a period of seven years, serving to address interagency issues to ensure duty collection at the U.S. border.*Served as Budget Director on the Board of Directors for the International Trade Data System (ITDS), an interagency program to establish a single window through which data required by various government agencies for international trade transactions may be submitted by the trade community. In addition to the professional experience noted above, continue to actively engage in the following:*Volunteer activities, including leading a social and professional networking group with approximately 500 members, ensuring diversity and inclusiveness* Serve as top 5 percent of all Local Guides for Google Maps, providing reviews on businesses and places within the community, collecting and verifying information for individual persons to ensure robust search engine results within the Google platform.
