About Davinia Cogan

I have 10+ years of experience across impact investing, climate finance, distributed renewables, financial inclusion, fintech, and financial regulation in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. I have advised and/or co-invested in 80+ early-stage clean energy start-ups in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia (Okra Solar, Charm Impact, BuffaloGrid, Zola Electric). I have managed projects for OECD, FCDO, USAID, SIDA, and World Bank. I am the lead author of the World Bank publication, Funding the Sun, and 10+ publications on financial innovation, climate finance, and financial inclusion. I taught financial regulators from 60+ countries during an executive learning programme at Cambridge Judge Business School and I am a guest lecturer at Oxford University's Saïd Business School. I began my career building new investment products at ING Australia. I am a determined, curious, and optimistic team player working to make the world a better place for future generations.
