About Davis Stevens

For years I have been undecided on what direction I would take my life and what educational path I would pursue. I was introduced to and influenced by the outdoors at a very young age. Naturally, I became fascinated with the environment surrounding us and all it has to offer. Today, I feel as if the natural resources around the world are under-appreciated. Society today often takes for granted all of the benefits the environment offers us, so I felt the desire to serve what cannot serve itself by contributing to ongoing conservation efforts. With that in mind, I began my research into the world of environmental sciences, more specifically, GIS applications in environmental sciences. My passion also lies in helping others and serving my community. Having had the opportunity to be a Lieutenant at Southwest Lee County Fire Authority has allowed me to grow and develop great interpersonal communication skills, critical thinking, and a problem-solving mindset under high-stress situations.
