About Davyd Cameron Hooper

Having grown up in a family business, Davyd's father Philip has owned and operated regional businesses since immigrating from England in 1976. As a result, Davyd has gain invaluable hands-on experience in various business sectors, including hospitality, accommodation, real estate and retail service stations across WA. This exposure has laid the foundation for his future entrepreneurial endeavors. During his time at Murdoch University studying Bachelor of Commerce, Davyd met his wife Angela, and together, they have become a formidable couple. Now for more than two decades, Davyd and Angela have faced many a challenge and amassed extensive experience in all aspects of management and marketing. With a specialty in mixed-use property and remote locations. They have owned and operated service stations, roadhouses, cafes, liquor stores, laundromats, news agencies, photography and consumer electronics stores, hotel motels, and more. A one time business broker and current owner of a Goldfields real estate agency, Davyds entrepreneurial journey also led to many a deal. Following in his Dads foot steps and an insatiable appetite for business and an eagerness to improve, there isn't much Davyd hasn't tried or tasted in his 20 plus year business career. Having owned and operated the business from North Dandalup since 2017, in recent years Davyd has established an operational Headquarters here to oversee his many interests. Davyd and his family are strong advocates of regional development, sustainable business practices and circular economies. They believe in thinking globally and acting locally, renewable energy and recycling initiatives. In 2020, Davyd launched Ethos Recycling business with his wife Angela they opened Container Deposit Scheme Authorized Refund Points in the Peel and Mid West regions. The same year in the midst of Covid, Davyd purchased Mandurah Ice Supplies and ventured into the packaged Ice industry. Rebranding and reestablished in 2023, the company now known as Swan Ice. With truck loads of experience and a trophy cabinet of retail business awards from Camera House and New Sunrise Group. Davyd has a passion for entrepreneurism, a commitment to excellence and an ethos for corporate, environmental and social responsibility. Davyd supports Australia's goal for net zero by 2050.
