About Dawn Deans

My firm writes Wills because everyone needs one and helps with step-parent adoptions to make it affordable to protect the rights of step-children. I give presentations and teach classes on various subjects in Estate Planning in the Gwinnett area Senior Centers and Activity Centers. I volunteer regularly with the Gwinnett County Probate clinic I also work with the Gwinnett Pro Bono Project an arm of Atlanta Legal Aid. I teach a family law classes quarterly and regularly work one-on-one with non-attorneys to help them navigate the legal system with their family law situations. My law degree included programs which emphasized practical hands on learning along side the more traditional case book learning. I worked two semesters with the State Long-term Care Ombudsman working to help with rights for Georgia's aging population. I worked two semesters in the Philip C. Cook Low Income Tax Payer's Clinic where I had the opportunity to help taxpayers resolve issues with the IRS. I am a registered Mediator with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.
