Emmy Award & Canadian Screen Award winner Dawn Rivard works internationally as a Wig Builder, Stylist and Make-up Artist. Dawn has trained and worked throughout the world including Japan, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, UK across North America & was invited to teach master class’ in São Paulo, Rome & Tokyo. She began with an apprenticeship with the Canadian Opera Company & was offered the 1st assistants position upon completion. She has worked on the world premiers of Ragtime, Showboat & Sunset Boulevard. A recognized industry specialist with over 30 years experience in opera, film, television, theatre & commercials. She earned her first Emmy Award as a member of the hair & make-up teams for the television production of Feast Of All Saints & a Canadian Screen Award Winner for Achievement for Hair on a Feature film for The Mortal Instruments The City of Bones. Holding a long list of certifications with makeup institutions and hair extension companies she is also a wig builder who owns a large stock of wigs and facial hair. She holds a I.A.T.S.E local 873 card and was a charter member of Local 822 since 1992 as well as currently holding an O-1 US work visa. She is based out of Toronto, Ontario & Pennsylvania & travels wherever the work takes her. Specialties: Owns large stock of wigs, hair pieces and facial hair. Also certified with several high end semi permanent and permanent hair extension systems. And k nolan for a clean execution & understanding of period hair work.
