About Dawn Hopper

I began to practice my calling in June 1987. I excelled in Med-Surg within my area of practice well enough to be asked to write Clinical Pathways for patients in my care area. I taught LVN II classes, served as preceptor for new graduates, and worked with residents in the teaching clinicals within my areas. I have been in the LTC area in the positions of ADON and Clinical Manager of the skilled unit of LTC. I had been so honored and blessed to spend 1994 to 2013 practicing within Surgical Services. This is where I found my home until I became disabled. But, I would be given another blessing in the form of the Ticket to Work program with SSDI. My return to my calling would come in the form of home infusion in 2016. My friend, Lisa Burleson, R.N, Infusion Specialist, would recommend me to our boss, Royce Parrish at Amotec, Inc. This is Nursing the way I desired to do again. I would be able to teach, care for, and bond with my patient's and their families again. No longer, would I feel that patient's had become a room number and that the personal care had been lost.
