For ten years, Dawn has been acquiring and managing resources, grants and incentives for businesses and units of local government. Grant funds are awarded to businesses and local governments to contribute to growth, the creation of jobs and quality of life. She is a professional consultant who specializes in grant planning and management assistance. This includes the preparation of grant applications and the administration of awarded funds. McCormick Consulting's areas of expertise include workforce and economic development - finding and securing funding to develop and train current and future employees, purchase machinery and equipment, purchase or renovate property, environmental cleanup, or new energy-efficient lighting for example. We also offer experience in securing program funding, parks and recreation and public safety. With nearly 20 years of experience and approximately $550M awarded, McCormick Consulting, as an extension of your staff or mentoring your staff, is confident we will deliver results for you. In 2021, Dawn and husband Matt started McCormick Farmz LLC, a northern Michigan lavender farm. The company enjoyed its first sale in June 2021 and finished the year strong. Five thousand additional lavender plants are planned for June 2022 with first harvest (of original planting) in July 2022.
