About Dawn Montecillo

My journey in dietetics commenced at St. Joseph Health- St. Mary in 2009, where I began as a Clinical Dietitian. This role honed my skills in medical nutrition therapy and allowed me to significantly contribute to patient care outcomes as an integral part of the healthcare team. In 2011, I advanced to the position of Clinical Nutrition Manager, where I not only continued to apply my clinical expertise but also delved into the realm of management. Here, I oversaw Diet Aides, Clinical Dietitians, and the Diabetes Education Center, fostering a cohesive and efficient environment. Transitioning further in 2013, I assumed the role of Director of Food and Nutrition, where I strategically led my department to new heights. This opportunity not only broadened my horizons but also enabled me to apply my knowledge and skills in innovative ways. Seeking fresh challenges, I joined California Hospital Medical Center in 2016 as the Director of Nutritional Services. In this capacity, I embraced the opportunity to serve the diverse community of downtown Los Angeles and its surroundings while continuing to expand my professional repertoire. In 2022, I embarked on a new chapter as the CHI Market Director for Food Nutrition Services in the Texas division. Here, I assumed oversight of 13 facilities across the East Texas, Brazos Valley, and North Houston submarkets, along with clinical nutrition responsibilities for the broader Texas division, exemplifying my ability to thrive in dynamic environments. Currently, as the Director of QI Suite at DIOSS LLC, I lead the QI Suite software and client support center, spearheading quality improvement initiatives with precision and dedication.
