Background
About Dawn Sinko
Dawn has spent decades of her career straddling the non-profit and entertainment worlds winning numerous awards in both fields along the way. She began working in Toronto, Canada producing television commercials for Pepsi, GM, Toyota, and McDonald's, transitioning into music videos, live award shows, documentaries, and drama series for CBC and CTV. A shoot in New Zealand led her to the creation of Youth To Everest, an international environmental non-profit that brought teens to Nepal to work with Sherpas to clean up the garbage on Mt. Everest. Upon moving to Los Angeles, she produced numerous broadcast television shows for CBS, NBC, ABC, HGTV and promotional campaigns for everyone from FX to Doritos, created several music festivals, produced Social Media Week - LA, a cattle drive for the Hallmark Channel through Times Square and holograms for Guillermo del Toro and Comic Con. Her deep love of design garnered her a primetime Emmy nomination her first time out as an art director on Hell's Kitchen, which catapulted her into production design working on numerous commercials, reality shows specializing in make-over shows including Kitchen Nightmares, Extreme Makeover Home Edition and Bar Rescue. She has continued to work as an Executive Producer with Creative Collision, where she is privileged to work on branding and advertising campaigns with clients as diverse as Encyclopedia Britannica and Western Digital. As the political climate shifted, she married her passion for social justice and art direction producing several experiential art shows, Into Action and We Rise 2018/2019, and most recently Creative Resilience in DTLA for the People's Project. In addition to designing and producing public large-scale art installations for the first Women's March in 2017,#StopAsianHate, March For Our Lives, and in DC for the anniversary of the Jan. 6 Insurrection vigil. In 2022 she was charged with building out a sq. ft. bar, restaurant, and performance space on the top of the Pacific Design Center roof for Chris Martin of Coldplay for the NFL Owners pre-Super Bowl LVI party. Being an experienced producer who is equally as comfortable working on film sets, or building out experiential spaces, her expertise in creating budgets, and managing logistics, combined with her creativity and design talents have all been invaluable to her continued success.
