About Dawn Summers

Ms. Summers works therapeutically with people with a variety of different conditions, including pelvic pain, post-surgery recovery, back pain and sciatica, hypertension, prostate cancer, panic disorder, depression, arthritis, and many other conditions. She has conducted several teacher trainings and currently trains yoga teachers and yoga therapists as a primary staff member of American Viniyoga Institute. She actively teaches classes in a variety of studio and corporate settings in the Bay Area, and special Christian Yoga classes according to the liturgical season. Sha has taught special workshops on a variety of conditions - neck and shoulder pain, lower back issues, pelvic pain - as examples. She conducts weekend yoga retreats and special classes about yoga philosophy as pratical lifestyle support. She has also been a teacher in a research study evaluating yoga.and stress managment. She is also certified by the Arthritis Association to teach the exercise classes for people with arthritis.
