I am a highly motivated and passionate Community Service Worker with a bachelor's degree in Community Service from an ACWA approved institution. My educational journey has equipped me with extensive knowledge, training, and practical experience in various aspects of social work practice. During my academic and professional career, I've had the privilege of undertaking diverse field education placements, spanning research, refugee settlement, case management, and school support officer roles. My approach to social work is deeply person-centred, holistic, and evidence-based, and I excel in integrating theory into practical solutions. In my current role as a WorkReady Consultant at Ability Options, I continue to enhance my cultural competence, active listening skills, and effective communication abilities while consistently applying a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach. Additionally, my experience as a school support volunteer focused on providing vital assistance to vulnerable young individuals facing a multitude of challenges, including trauma, bullying, child abuse, family violence, mental health issues, and general school-related stressors. My professional ethos centres around evidence-based practice and holistic, strength-based frameworks to improve client well-being, with a strong commitment to addressing social justice and human rights issues.
