About Dawson Loehr
The past two summers, I have interned at the Fayette Power Plant in La Grange Texas. This plant is owned by both Austin Energy and the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA). These companies are responsible for supplying power all over Texas and have been depended upon for years to deliver clean, affordable, and reliable energy. Through this experience, I learned hands-on what it takes for energy to be produced and what is entailed in the industrial side of construction.Learning from the bottom to the top of an industry is invaluable and leads to a high potential for success. I plan on using the knowledge I have obtained and take it into the construction industry, while also bringing my connections and work ethic in order to reach a level of success.The construction industry is an ever-growing one, with places being built or reconstructed around the clock. Time is always of the essence, which is why efficient and quality work is needed. I believe with the experience I have obtained and the knowledge Texas A&M has to provide, I am on track to see my potential in any work I partake.
