Hello, I’m Dawson. Currently I am a candidate for a MS in Clinical Mental Health at Grand Canyon University. From a very young age I've garnered an interest in psychology and found the passion to destigmatize the treatment of mental illness. Within my current internships I have worked within various diverse populations furthering my understanding of the importance of cultural customs and cultural identity within the human experience. Within my experience as an intern I have been able to conduct intakes, assessments, diagnose, and run groups. Working with the South-East Asian population as an intern I have conducted psychotherapy in Hmong and I have seen the unique approach of serving non-traditional population groups. I love learning about my field and will continue to pursue more experience to polish my skills in the field.
