Dr. Daya Shankar is a distinguished academician and a leading expert in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Fluid & Thermal Engineering. Currently, he holds the esteemed position of Dean of the School of Sciences at his present affiliation. Dr. Shankar's academic and research journey is marked by significant achievements, including his appointment as the Alok Sinha Professor in Mechanical Engineering and as the Co-Chairperson of the Centre of Excellence for Technology and Public Policy. In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Shankar actively contributes to various institutional responsibilities. He oversees the Government Liaison of the University and serves as the Convenor-Institute Innovation Council, established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. This demonstrates his commitment to fostering collaboration between academia and government agencies. Dr. Shankar's dedication to teaching is evident through his regular courses on AI in CFD, FEM, and Design, where he imparts valuable knowledge to students.
