About Dayenne C. Walters

I am a creative professional with a background in both the visual and performing arts.My experience ranges from managing marketing communications for an international corporation, to event planning, visual arts curator, and production manager for theater and dance concerts. My art-ivist nature led me to found Billboard Hope, an organization dedicated to empowering artists to foment change through conversations with their surrounding neighborhoods. Using themes of inspiration, hope, and healing, Billboard Hope showcased artists’ work on billboards and large walls in Roxbury, Dorchester, and downtown Boston. Locations are selected to engage passersby, encouraging them to pause and reflect.Since 2023, I have led public art tours in Nubian Square and Roxbury, highlighting the vibrant cultural and political history of Roxbury, Massachusetts. In my current role as Arts Liaison at the Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry, my focus is on building partnerships with artists and allying with cultural institutions in Roxbury to amplify their voices and promote economic justice in this community.
