I have my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Masters in Teaching degree. As a 2008 Master graduate of Hampton University, I have student teaching experience on the third and first grade levels, in both suburban and urban school districts. I am certified for Elementary K-5 in New Jersey and K-6 in Virginia. At the present time I have taught First grade at Trenton Community Charter School in Trenton, New Jersey as well as First Grade at Hawthorne Avenue School in Newark, New Jersey for two years. During my three years teaching experience I have demonstrated my abilities to teach a diverse group of young students from all backgrounds. I have been able to not only adapt my teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners, but I have also used my passion to help blossom unique young minds into creative and more independent thinkers.
