Background
About Dean Bentley
I have been in the Environmental Health sector since graduating in 1997, and have been employed at Hutt City Council ever since. I have over 25 years experience as an Environmental Health Officer, and 7 years as Manager of the Team at Hutt City Council. During this time I gained the skills and experience to be a well rounded Environmental Health Officer, across all facets of this diverse industry. One of my greatest achievements is my mahi as the Manager of the Environmental Health Team. I took on this role at a time when the team was severely under resourced and morale was very low. I successfully built up the team through careful recruitment of the right people for each role, and turned the team culture around. I enjoy helping people to grow and develop in their roles, and assist to help them achieve their career aspirations.
