Hello! My name is Dean Sanchez. I am a 4th-year Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering double major at UC Davis, passionate about contributing to cutting-edge aerospace projects. My academic journey began at College of the Canyons, and since transferring to UC Davis, I have actively pursued opportunities to apply my engineering knowledge in real-world settings. As the Structures and Manufacturing Lead for the Advanced Modeling Aeronautics Team (AMAT) at UC Davis, I lead the design, structural analysis, and manufacturing of RC aircraft for SAE Aero Design and AIAA DBF competitions. Through this experience, I have developed expertise in CAD, structural analysis, and manufacturing processes, translating theoretical concepts into functional, flight-ready designs. Beyond engineering, I enjoy building with Legos, learning about aviation history and news, flight simulations, and Minecraft—all of which fuel my creativity and passion for aircraft design.
