About Dean Johnson

Dean Johnson is a trusted professional and currently serves on the Puyallup City Council, where he has been elected to three consecutive terms since 2016. Dean also served a two year term as Mayor of Puyallup and is renowned for his strong community connections, effective leadership, and deep understanding of public bureaucracies. In addition, Dean is a top-performing sales associate at Nordstrom, where he has ranked within the top 1% nationally many times throughout his 13-year tenure at the Seattle flagship store. He also works as a real estate broker specializing in both residential and commercial properties. His success stems from his exceptional communication skills in combination with a results-driven mindset. With fewer than 0.14% of Americans holding elected office—and even fewer combining that experience with private-sector success—this rare blend of expertise provides a powerful skill set for bridging the two sectors, driving policy advocacy, economic development, and strategic partnerships that deliver meaningful results. Dean is exceptional at engaging influential stakeholders and successfully advocating for policies that balance both governance and business objectives. His passion for fostering relationships and driving positive change positions him as a standout candidate for senior-level government relations roles.
