Background
About Dean Krienitz
In November of 2019, I was involved in a major motorcycle accident that resulted in me having my left leg above the knee amputated. Throughout the year, I have made huge strides with physical therapy and prosthesis training, but due to continuous pain, I had a follow up surgery in October of 2020. I am now back on my way to being able to be fully active and can not wait to see what 2021 holds and what I can achieve with this new prosthesis. As a result of my accident, my role has been changed to manage projects from the office and have design engineer and architects complete site visits of their own design and we coordinate and discuss all quality control inspections, approve construction work by general contractors on behalf of the owners to ensure the general contractor is following permitted plans. In addition, I am Executive manager of Procore, that we use to manage, bidding process, create, review and approve all construction contracts, request for information, change orders, change requests, draw requests. As Construction Administration Project Engineer I completed quality control inspections, bidding process, review and approve all construction contracts, request for information, change orders, change requests, draw requests While I was the Marine Operations Manager at J. F. Moore International, I managed the following surveys: condition and valuation, tow approval, trip in tow warranty approval, reactivation, damage, lay up, and location approvals. In addition to the surveys listed above, I was responsible for all the Auto-Cad drawings, designs, and engineering reviews for the Houston office in both 2D & 3D as well as all the structural analysis using STAAD-Pro. Prior to my Marine Operations Manager position at J.F. Moore International, I was employed by The American Bureau of Shipping in Beaumont, Texas as a Marine Surveyor. I conducted the following surveys: new construction, repair, damage, load line, drydocking, UWILD, deadweight, annual, intermediate, and special surveys, along with qualifying welders and welding procedures. Prior to working for ABS I started working at The Interfield Group in Houston, Texas as Structural Design Engineer, but quickly caught the interest of the Vice President where I was promoted to a Civil Design Engineer. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering with a great knowledge of: fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, statics, dynamics, steam simulation, electrical power, material science, and welding.
