I'm an energetic Director of Sales & Marketing and experienced Hotel General Manager. I implement empowering leadership and aggressive sales campaigns for international tourism, business travel, meetings, catering, incentives, and SMERF markets. My teams are encouraged to create a guest-centric culture; exhibited by wowed guests that become return guests! I optimize profitability by leading with empathy, emotional, cultural, and digital intelligence. I'm a third-generation hotelier and restaurateur having earned an MBA in international management and master’s in hotel administration from Cornell University, and the International Foundation. I was appointed to the California Tourism Hall of Fame for my work as a commissioner in what is now Visit CA in the CA Department of Commerce. These milestones demonstrate my commitment to continued learning and promoting leisure and business travel. My career includes roles at boutique, airport, resort, Radisson, Choice, and Best Western Hotels! I have earned positions as a corporate officer in the Canterbury Hotel, Whitehall Inn, Lehr's Greenhouse Restaurants, Magique Events and several other businesses. I have served on Convention and Tourism Bureaus, Marine Research, and Humane Society 501-C3 boards of directors. I'm a passionate advocate for the protection of our oceans. I taught Scuba Diving as a NAUI Instructor, assistant adjunct professor at San Diego State University, and currently tutor economics, marketing, finance and accounting at the TLC, Barowsky School of Business @ Dominican University of California!
