About Dean Liggins

As cliche as it sounds my experience has proven to me time and time again that to build a great company starts with its people. I love building teams and creating space to allow the right culture to grow which in turn is the foundation of a successful business. For me leadership doesn’t mean you have to be the loudest voice in the room but instead take time to seek out and see the talents in people, guiding them towards their own best self, aligning with the goals of the business. This often means having to have tough conversations but doing so in a balanced way that is fair, genuine, concise and gives clarity. Humour is an integral part of my style and though sometimes slightly irreverent when used in a cheeky way it can be a great tool to connect with people when you’ve created a trusted environment. Hearing lots of laughter at the same time as great work is being done brings me joy. Having been with one company for a long time has allowed be to be part of the many stages of growing from a small NZ company to one that is now truly global. My time as GM in Australia was one that helped me develop a broad range of skills as we experienced immense growth, both in revenue and numbers of people, developed multiple locations and fostered a culture that we were proud of. Aligning with a culture and brand that has integrity, confidence and knows what it stands for is crucial for me to thrive. I’m genuinely excited to see what opportunities that open up.
