Dean Phillips has over 15 years senior credit management experience across a variety of industries, including the accounting and legal sectors. Dean has extensive knowledge of all aspects of credit management and is passionate about helping businesses enhance their relationship with their clients. Dean sees himself as an extension of the client he works for and thrives on creating positive results-driven solutions. Dean has travelled extensively and spent 5 years working in London for key accountancy and legal firms, including Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as a senior credit manager—managing a debt portfolio of $100m. Dean has lots of passion and energy, a strong can-do attitude and believes that building key relationships is the foundation to any successful business. In his last role, Dean helped develop effective client and customer focused policies and procedures, and was pivotal in recruiting and training a strong and successful team. This success contributed to the fast growth of the business from ‘start-up’ to ASX-listing. He led a team of 6 and managed a debt portfolio of over $20m. Dean is a qualified Mental Health First Aid officer and has a BA in Justice specialising in forensic psychology. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Credit Management.
