About Dean Seman

Dean Seman, a civil litigator for 20 years, relies on the knowledge and technical skills that he gained through his former experience as an environmental engineer to successfully defend environmental, toxic tort, professional liability and construction defect matters. Dean prefers to use his problem-solving skills to cost-effectively defend his clients and quickly grasp the critical legal and factual issues that need to be resolved. When a reasonable resolution is not available, he has achieved successful results and settlements through his practice and trial experience in state and federal courts, and through his successful arguments at the appellate level. Dean’s environmental work encompasses defense against professional negligence as well as with traditional matters regarding CERCLA, state-level contaminated properties, cost-recovery, storage tank releases and hazardous wastes. He also handles toxic and chemical exposure claims including benzene, lead, silica, air irritants and diacetyl. Within Dean’s experience in the construction industry includes representation of architects, engineers, developers and contractors against design and construction defect claims and personal injury claims. Dean regularly publishes and presents at national conferences on his specialty areas. During law school, Dean was a member of the Villanova Sports and Entertainment Law Journal and published an article that has been cited by federal and state courts. He also interned at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and worked part-time at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. He enjoys his leisure time outdoors.
