About Dean Shepherd

My career experience involves interaction with members of management at Honda, Ford, GM, and Chrysler. Exposure to various automotive customers makes me a well rounded manager. I have been involved with budget planning, process planning, lean manufacturing, and quality leadership. My ability to see the big picture and think outside the box has given me success in my automotive management career. I have recently been the leader in creating a regional logistics center between four suppliers all working together to supply our automotive customer. I have experience involving union groups and the management of the union members. My strengths are found in my leadership, innovation, and drive for success. The facility start up in Bowling Green, KY involved equipment planning and placement, management organization, budget reviews, and staffing for other key positions. My experience as a plant manager for Innovative Logistics involved traveling to the automotive customers to organize and manage non union innovative associates in the material service department. I also traveled to Detroit to deliver budget plans and presentations for new business. I streamlined the kitting process in the warehouse at our Dayton facility. The automotive struggle in 2008 caused the plant to close. I attended college as a displaced auto worker and achieved my Associates Degree in Human Resource Management and then went on to get my Bachelors Degree from Franklin University.
