About Dean Wells

I'm an experienced risk and insurance professional with a diverse background. Having worked as an insurer, a client who was responsible for risk financing and insurance purchase, and currently as a broker gives me a unique perspective. Many people think that insurance is boring but I am not one them - its a fascinating area that touches on many aspects of business and helps enable business to develop and prosper. When working with clients the first question I ask is why - as in why do you purchase insurance? Often the answer is they don't know or because they always have, and this is where it gets interesting. Working out how a client thinks and their approach to risk is the first step in helping to develop solutions to meet their specific needs.I work with and advise a diverse range of both private and public sector clients and specialise in advising large and complex organisations on the development of a strategic approach to risk transfer and the purchase of insurance.
