About Dean William Jarrett
My name is Dean Jarret, and I am the owner of Torque Jetboards™. Watersports are my passion. I grew up surfing the beautiful North Coast beaches of New South Wales, spots such as Byron Bay, famous for being the easternmost point of Australia. In 2001, i moved to China to initially operate golf academies, as i am a Full Member of the Australian PGA. This led to meeting many HNI (High Net Worth Individuals) which led to me opening up other businesses including import and export company as well as a manufacturing facility for the electric surfboards. During the past 23 years in China i have had the opportunity to learn all facets of operating business in China. I can speak Chinese, which makes it so much easier, but without the years of experience many mistakes can be made. Designing, molding, sourcing, manufacturing, prototyping, sampling, quality control, logistics, team leading, relationship building, and very important having the ability to quickly assess the ethics and integrity of suppliers who may become my business partners, these traits are part of my CV.
